This song is Utter Crap.
4AD have posted a 128kbps mp3 of the Three Women track. Seems a bit silly, why give away an okish quality track if you are selling a drm-ed version on iTunes, maybe it is all about social networking and people blogging it. Oh I am. Suckered again.
Oh it was been pitchforked as well.
Delightful news to read that this evening 29th april 2008, Gideon Coe will have NSRO in live session on his show between 22:00 and 01:00 . Sort notice but notice none the less.

A few weeks ago I saw Bjork at the Hammersmith Apollo, on what appears to the 20th leg of the Volta tour. In valiant support was Leila Arab. Many may know her, most don’t. A quick history she has played and toured with Bjork, released 2 albums one on XL other on Rephlex’ her third is out on Warp soon, four tet mentioned her in a song title on ‘Pause’,
Leila’s set was basically a mutated noised fest, with a dj-ing slant. The noticeable trax played where by Snoop Doggy-Dog, Bowie, Iggy Pop, and her own stuff with a smig Autechre to the assist in the onslaught of bass and loudness. I liked it. I loved her attitude. The way she just moved in behind the machines. In a one woman tango. She was great. The crowd booed. God where they hacked off by her; she flipped them the finger.

That was just the best night ever despite the godawful DJ who bored us for an eternity.

Now on to her current 10 inch & dig-it-al download, Mettle on Warp. The title track is a mix of primal spiders, oscillating bass, fx-ed guitars, al-la-fugazi-gang of four. by god it is loud. Heaven Sent, the next track sounds of creaking and slo-mo doom bass, and heavenly vocals from Luca Santucci. Finally, Ode to Mr. Herman, is a polite diddy, which could find it’s home on a Colleen record.
Single of the year.
There has been a big whooo-haaa about the new bjork 3d video for ‘Wanderlust’ [the worst song on Volta by a country mile]. It looks wonderful and those cute yaks. ahhhhhhhhhhh. Anyway the point of this post is, the following article on the making of the video, from Wired.com interesting stuff.
After the news via Pitchfork Media that Stereolab have moved from Too Pure to 4ad. Then they have a new opus called ‘Chemical Chords’ in the can, and are gearing up for a mid august release.
Then comes the news of a new track called Three Women been released via iTunes. The track is a wonderfully poppy avec French vocals, ooodles of glockinspeil, hammond organ, a sprinkling of brass, and semi funky bass.
A wonderful delight.
It has been a long time coming.
But we have just got the project debut with pre amp and usb to record the vinyl…photo’s coming.
As Britney spirals into declined; Robyn in on the kool rise, what with sxsw and been pitchforked.
